What should I do to prepare?2018-05-21T16:38:28+00:00

Please refer to the pre-care instructions.

What is permanent makeup?2018-05-19T00:45:45+00:00

Permanent makeup is a cosmetic tattoo that is implanting pigment into the skin.

How painful is the application?2018-05-19T00:45:33+00:00

I use a topical anesthetic for all procedures which eliminates most of the discomfort. Some clients experience discomfort due to the varying pain tolerance and/or resistance to anesthetic. However, it is also dependent on how careful your technician is. I am extremely giving of the application of anesthetics. I commonly have someone fall asleep (and some snore) which is music to my ears as I have done my job.

How long does it last?2018-05-19T00:45:24+00:00

This will vary upon each client. I always say it is 20% me and 80% you as to how long it will stay. It depends on medications, sun exposure, some creams we use on our skin and so on.

Can I still wear regular makeup?2018-05-19T00:45:14+00:00

Absolutely! This will just enhance any other cosmetics you use!

Can I get cosmetic surgery if I have permanent makeup?2018-05-19T00:44:55+00:00
Absolutely! Properly placed PMU will not be affected. If you are planning on getting any lip injections, it is wise to get your permanent makeup done first, as it will cut back on the discomfort.
Am I safe?2018-05-19T00:44:44+00:00

My client’s health and safety are the most important parts of any and every procedure. I use pre-sterilized, one-time use needles. All of my non disposable equipment is barrier wrapped and cold solution sterilized before and after each client.

What should I expect afterwards?2018-05-19T00:44:31+00:00

Dark makeup! DO NOT have your permanent makeup applied right before any major events. Wait 5 days for eyeliner and brows and 10 days for any lip procedures. The area will be tender and swollen for a few days. The color will oxidize immediately after the procedure and look “too dark”. This is good! It can mean less of a touch up. The area will peel leaving less intense color within days. You will book your follow up appointment 4-6 weeks out to perfect your makeup.

How long are the procedures?2018-05-19T00:44:16+00:00
It takes about 2 hours for both full PMU eyeliner and brows and 2 hours for full lips. Everything else takes less than an hour and a half. Thirty minutes to an hour before the procedure time, we will review your medical history, apply and allow the anesthetic time to work and thoroughly discuss your PMU needs.
Should I worry about allergies?2018-05-19T00:43:16+00:00

Yes and no. You should always be cautious, as it is possible to be allergic to the pigment or the topical anesthetic. You can have an allergy scratch test done by request if you are concerned. However, I only use the brands of pigments that have never had any known allergic reactions. Remember, PMU is a wonderful alternative to cosmetics, if you have sensitive skin or allergies.

Will I be able to have an MRI?2018-05-19T00:42:59+00:00
Yes, most people with tattoos are fine and have no symptoms when getting an MRI. However, I did have an MRI after having eyeliner and I felt the stinging around my eyes for a few seconds. They have come out with better pigments that do not have the metals in them like the old fashioned kind. There are ways to get around this.
